He’s just Chris.

Chris Stapleton just announced on Instagram that he will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on April 13th, and will likely be singing his recent #1 single “White Horse” and his current radio single, “Think I’m In Love With You.”

He will appear alongside host Ryan Gosling, who recently played Ken in the major motion picture Barbie last year. Chris shared the post on his social media accounts, along with the brilliant caption referencing the Barbie movie:

“I’m just Chris.”

It will mark Stapleton’s third appearance on SNL as the musical guest, as he was on the show in 2016 alongside host Adam Driver, where he sang “Nobody To Blame” and “Parachute.” In 2018, he appeared alongside host Will Ferrell to sing with Sturgill Simpson on “Midnight Train To Memphis” and “Hard Livin’.”

In addition to Stapleton appearing on the show, his fellow country artist Kacey Musgraves just appeared ahead of the release of her forthcoming studio album Deeper Well.

I wouldn’t be mad if Stapleton brought out his friend Sturgill Simpson again, but either way, it’s gonna be great to see him back on SNL
