Zach Bryan Announces ‘The Great American Bar Scene’ Release Date, Reveals 23 Bars Who Will Get Early Access

Music

The soundtrack to your 4th of July.

Zach Bryan has officially announced that his highly-anticipated new album, The Great American Bar Scene, will be released on our nation’s birthday, this coming July 4th. And given the title, as well as Zach’s record of military service, it’s just too perfect.

Zach took to social media to announce the release date, reveal the album art, and… give us the names of the 23 great American bars who will have some early access to the album.

“My intent with all this is to give everyone an early glimpse of this album, but more importantly, this is in the spirit of bringing people together for a memorable moment.

I have chose 23 bars across the country that embody the spirit of American culture. These bars will play select cuts from ‘The Great American Bar Scene’ starting June 24th.

As much as I’d kill to play all these timeless bars, it won’t be possible. I will be visiting a few off the list to have a drink with ya’ll. ‘The Great American Bar Scene’ will be released on July 4th. With love from the road, ZB.”

COME ON WITH IT.

More Details On Upcoming Album

Zach Bryan is spilling more information about his upcoming album, The Great American Bar Scene.

After noting via an Instagram story that he finished with the album, (which we now know will drop on the 4th of July) he took to Twitter (now X) to share some information about the album as fans were ready to fire away with questions. The Oklahoma native dropped a new song, “Pink Skies,” as well as a duet of “Purple Gas” with songwriter Noeline Hofmann, and fans are already hooked and pleading for more.

“I write and record music reckless and fast, just got the record finished so it’ll be dropped on someone’s head any day now.”

Zach Bryan could have just left the information at that, and fans would be reeling, but he went a step further and noted how long his self-produced album would be.

“16 songs and a poem! Proudest I’ve ever been of a piece of work.”

On top of that, ZB mentioned that Watchhouse was supposed to be supporting him on this record, but with logistics, they are now only featured playing mandolin and singing backups on “Pink Skies.” After noting that they were on the song, fans raised an eyebrow as to why they were not listed on the credit, but ZB cleared that up quickly:

“Because I wrote it and produced it! They were going to feature but ended up not. It was just an honor for me in general. Was a blessing they said they’d play mando and back up sing.”

He also clarified that “Pink Skies” isn’t about his mother:

“Pink Skies”
