Jade Eagleson Enlists Jake Worthington For Honky Tonk Heater “Do It Anyway”

Music

Two of the smoothest voices in country music.

Canada meets Texas with this traditional honky tonk country twanger. “Do It Anyways” is a nod to old-school traditions, transporting listeners back to the ’90s for the classic feel of the melody and lyrics.

Jade Eagleson is bringing his thick twang south of the Canadian border, shaking up the country scene with boot-stomping anthems like “Rodeo Queen” and “Pure Country.” Eagleson is stellar on his own, but add in the Texas cowboy Jake Worthington, and you have a magical duet.

“I really appreciate what Jake is doing for Country music, and I have wanted to collaborate with him since I first heard his music. I’m grateful that he wanted to jump on this new version of the song with me.

‘Do It Anyway’ is a song that deeply resonates with me – it feels like it was written about me. Getting to cut a song from legends Chase McGill, Matt Jenkins and Ashley Gorley was definitely an added bonus.”

Eagleson said high praises about having Jake Worthington on the track, and Worthington felt the same, returning the sentiments about being featured on the single.

“When Jade asked if I would join him on the song, it was an easy yes. I am a fan of what he’s doing and the good ole country music he’s making.”

Eagleson featured this track as the title track on his last album, Do It Anyway, but Worthington is a stellar addition for reimagining the track. The duo sings about sticking to their guns, although the world might deem their style of music or way of life old-fashioned.

At the end of the day, Eagleson and Worthington know what they are doing works and will “Do It Anyway.”

“Is the way I do it now
I’m here to have a good time
I ain’t got no time to waste
I know that it could all be over any day
So I do it anyways
They told me old school ain’t gonna work
They said that sound ain’t coming back
(well man, it’s back)
(that’s right)
I do it anyways…”

Give this one a listen; you won’t regret it.
