Riley Green Brings Out Zach Top For Duet Of Toby Keith’s “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” At Watershed Festival

I am sure this Washington state crowd was full of happy campers.

Over the weekend, the Watershed Festival was held in George, Washington, bringing some of the biggest names in country music to the West Coast. This year’s lineup included Riley Green, Zach Top, Koe Wetzel, Ashland Craft, Kassi Ashton, Meg McRee, and more.

During festivals like this, you always hope that some headlining acts hang around to see other performers, and often, the audience crosses their fingers and toes to get a special duet. Watershed was very lucky to get a Riley Green and Zach Top crossover.

During Riley Green’s set, he brought out the Washington state native to perform a country music classic in front of his home state crowd. The two teamed up to tip their hat to Toby Keith performing “Should’ve Been A Cowboy.” Given that Zach Top is reviving the ’90s country sound, this song is perfect for this pair.

This is not the first time Green and Top have performed this duet on stage. They also sang it at the Indy 500 earlier this summer. Ironically, Top is sporting the same stripped pearl snap shirt at Watershed that he wore at the Indy 500.

After Top and Green deliver a knockout chorus, Green swaps his baseball cap for a cowboy hat to match Top and embraces the cowboy spirit that Toby Keith instilled in the lyrics of this hit, this was a standout moment from the festival weekend.

Check it out.
