NASCAR drivers have some good taste in music.
Of course we know several NASCAR Cup Series drivers like Ryan Blaney and Chase Elliott are big country music fans, with Blaney chatting with us over the summer about hanging out with Whiskey Myers and Elliott telling us about his love for Eric Church.
But as it turns out, there are quite a few country fans in the field for tonight’s Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
One of the fun things about this race is always the driver walkout songs, which each driver choosing their own song for driver introductions. And as expected, there are usually some pretty good country songs on the list.
This year’s list didn’t disappoint, featuring everything from the Red Clay Strays and Zach Bryan to Morgan Wallen and Post Malone/Hank Williams Jr.
Here are some of the drivers who chose a country song for their walkout tonight:
- Ryan Blaney – “No One Else Like Me” by the Red Clay Strays
- Chris Buescher – “Dust 2 Dust” by Ole 60
- William Byron – “Open the Gate” by Zach Bryan

Obviously some drivers choose artists they’re friends with, or songs that have some kind of personal meaning to them (like Bubba Wallace choosing Tyler Childers’ anti-racism anthem “Long Violent History”).
But some just choose songs they like, or songs to pump up their fans.
Based on these walkout songs, who you rooting for?
