Brief pursuit in San Fernando Valley ends near Burbank airport – NBC Los Angeles

A brief car chase in the San Fernando Valley ended Monday with the driver ditching the vehicle in a residential neighborhood near the Hollywood Burbank Airport.

The chase began sometime around 10:50 p.m. after the Los Angeles Police Department were noted of a possible DUI driver. Evading officers, the driver traveled at speeds exceeding 100 mph before exiting the freeway onto surface streets in Burbank.

Eventually, the driver looped through Sun Valley and came to a stop near the intersection of De Garmo Avenue and Lorne Street. The driver then ditched the vehicle and rushed toward an apartment complex.
