Christmas came early for this Zach Bryan fan.
The Quittin’ Time Tour has officially ended, and according to Zach Bryan, it was the last major tour of his career. When he released his latest project, The Great American Bar Scene, his Spotify profile noted that the Quittin’ Time Tour was his final tour, which sent fans into a frenzy.
“His most recent release was on July 4th, 2024, with his third studio album, ‘The Great American Bar Scene.’ He is currently on his last tour ever, the ‘Quittin’ Time Tour.’”
However, Zach Bryan clarified shortly after that he would still be playing shows but would no longer be going on massive tour runs, like the Quittin’ Time Tour, for the remainder of his music career.
“Guys when I say last tour I mean I’m don’t going on runs after this year! I’ll still play shows! It’s not a tactic to sell tickets or a grab at y’alls attention, I just want to rest and enjoy my family and life. STILL PLAYING SHOWS, just not going on tour runs!”
ZB has since proven this statement to be true, as he’s announced a short weekend run in New York and San Fransisco with the Kings of Leon and a show at London’s Hyde Park. While he’s cutting back on shows next year, his promise of playing shows remains true.
However, I know fans will miss the magic of the long tour runs, as fans compared set lists, surprise guests, fans who get pulled up on stage, and who gets ZB’s coveted guitar at the end of each show.
During the final Quittin’ Time Tour show in Brooklyn, one fan received the last guitar from the last tour run, and it’s the ultimate early Christmas present. After the show, ZB walked down the aisle way by the floor seats and passed off the guitar case with the guitar he played on stage inside to one lucky fan.
Zach Bryan casually walks up to a fan and goes:
“Do you want this? Do you want this?”
Regardless of your recent opinion of ZB, I think anyone would scream “yes” to that question.” ZB passed off the guitar to the fan behind the barrier, and I can only imagine that the fan was questioning if this moment was real life.
After making sure it made it into the right hands, Zach Bryan says:
“Merry Christmas.”
A Merry Christmas indeed. This fan must have been at the top of the good list to get an early Christmas present like this. I am interested in seeing if ZB keeps this tradition alive during his shows next year, but for the time being, this feels like the end of an era.
So long to the Quittin’ Time Tour.
