Coronavirus state tracker: California surpassed 2 million cases of the coronavirus as of Wednesday

According to California public heath websites, Wednesday’s end-of-day totals reported 44,361 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of people who have been infected to 2,007,648.

There were also 352 new deaths reported, bringing the total number of people who have died to 23,638.

An additional 410 patients were admitted into California’s hospitals, bringing the total number of hospitalizations to 19,771 statewide.
