Dammit Walmart.

As we mentioned earlier today, Morgan Wallen’s upcoming double album Dangerous was mysteriously leaked at various Walmart locations around the country. We saw fans in West Virginia, North Carolina, Missouri and Wisconsin find copies, and some fans had already started sharing the new tunes on social media.

It’s not hard to see why this sucks for Morgan… you work hard on your record for years, put a lot of thought and attention into the release and then find out some bozos at Walmart already have them on the shelf? The hell with that.

But with the cat already out of the bag, Morgan decided to take the leak into his own hands:

“I’ve been working on this album for three years, I’ll be dammed if I’m gonna let Walmart do the leaking like that. So if ya’ll don’t care, keep up with me on here… I’m gonna start doin’ the leaking of the songs myself.”

He concluded the announcement with a little well-deserved shade at Walmart.

“I don’t shop at Walmart anyways…. I actually gave Target two extra songs so if you’re gonna buy my album physically, go to Target baby.”

The album is actually scheduled to drop this coming Friday, January 8th.

Also, valid point… who really has a CD player these days?
