Country, rock and roll, little bit blues… ain’t nothin’ Whiskey Myers can’t do.

And if you’ve ever been to a live show, you’re know they’re one of the best in the business.

A while back (you know, back when concerts were a thing), they covered “All I Can Do Is Write About It,” by the legendary southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd… and it’s downright magnificent. Clocking in at nearly 9 minutes long, it’s nearly double the length of the original song.

Written by lead singer Ronnie Van Zant and founding member Allen Collins, “All I Can Do Is Write About It” was originally released on Skynyrd’s Gimme Back My Bullets album in 1976. The song finds our singer lamenting the changing way of life in the laid-back South, the place he calls home. The only thing he can do about it? Write a song.

If you’re looking for someone to cover Lynyrd Skynyrd, and do some serious justice to one of their more underrated cuts, look no further.
