Gabe Lee Reimagines Debut Album ‘Farmland,’ Releasing Full Band Version Of “Ol’ Smokey” & More

Music

I’ve said it once, I’ll say it a thousand times… if you’re still sleeping on Gabe Lee, wake your ass up.

His 2020 album, Honkey Tonk Hell, found its way onto our 2020 Albums Of The Year list, but today, we’re taking it back to the beginning.

Gabe made a ton of noise in the country music world with the 2019 release of his debut album, Farmland, and now, he’s giving it a face lift. Starting with “Ol’ Smokey,” he will be reimagining songs from the stripped-down album, but this time with a full band.

“‘Ol’ Smokey’ reimagined is like hearing the song across the room at a Nashville dive bar, with a country bluegrass band energy.

As an acoustic record, we felt that some of our favorite songs from Farmland deserved a bigger sound, and in doing so would take on new life. Go on, light’em up!”

“Ol Smokey” is officially set to drop on Friday, February 26th, but you can listen to it here right now.

Enjoy.
