Pedestrian killed by car on road leading from 405 to Century Boulevard near LAX

INGLEWOOD — A pedestrian was struck by a car and killed early Wednesday on a 405 Freeway collector road in the Inglewood area, authorities said.

The person was hit about 5 a.m. on the road leading from the northbound freeway to Century Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The location is just east of Los Angeles International Airport.

Information on the identity of the fatally injured person, who died at the scene, was not immediately available. The circumstances of the death were under investigation.
