Coronavirus: L.A. reported 202 new cases and four new deaths, June 9

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 202 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 1,245,588 as of Wednesday, June 9.

Officials reported four new deaths linked to the coronavirus, for a total 24,408 deaths since tracking began.

There were 11 more hospitalizations reported since Tuesday, decreasing the official count of hospitalizations to 243, with 17% in ICU.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, more than 9,873,249 vaccine doses have been administered in Los Angeles County as of  Monday.

Data posted each day is preliminary and subject to change, officials emphasize. More information may become available as individual case investigations are completed.
