‘Marfa Tapes’ Collaborator Jon Randall To Release First Solo Album In 15 Years

Music

Talk about some huge news from one of the best in the business.

For those that don’t know, Jon Randall has probably either written, co-written, or perhaps even produced a lot of your favorite country songs.

The man’s written songs for Miranda Lambert, Alison Krauss (yep, he wrote “Whiskey Lullaby”), Dwight Yoakam, Dierks Bentley and several others. He’s also produced albums for Parker McCollum, Chase Bryant, Dierks Bentley and more.

Oh yeah, and along with Jack Ingram and Miranda Lambert, he’s part of The Marfa Tapes trio.

Now, he’s ready to take things back into his own hands. It’s been 15 long years since we’ve gotten a solo album from Randall, and that’s all about to change.

His upcoming self-titled album is set for release on September 10th, an album that captures the essence of a wandering Texan spirit.

“This album is for anyone who wants to disappear for a while on the roads somewhere between Texas and Mexico.

They’ll hear some tales about winning and losing, living and dying and falling in love in forbidden places.”
