Hard to think of another country music career that took off faster than Luke Combs.
His debut single was released back in 2016, and it quickly became his first number one. And EVERY SINGLE HE’S RELEASED SINCE – 11 straight – have been number ones for Luke (except for his latest, “Cold As You,” which is still climbing the charts and is currently sitting at #4).
And tonight, Luke got some well-deserved recognition for that rocketship of a career he’s having:
ENTERTAINER OF THE FUCKING YEAR.
And last but certainly not least, your 2021 #CMAawards ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR is…@lukecombs!
Congrats to ALL of tonight’s nominees and winners!👏🏆 pic.twitter.com/v6eV0boSk1

Luke beat out Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, and last year’s Entertainer of the Year (and Luke’s hero) Eric Church to take home top honors at the CMA Awards tonight.
And he deserves the hell out of it.
LUKE FUCKING COMBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The man deserves the hell outta this one.#CMAawards

Oh, and to make it even better: He was presented with the award by Alan Jackson.

It was a huge night for Luke, where he not only took home the night’s top prize but he also debuted a brand new song, “Doin’ This,” and released it directly after the awards.
The rocketship ain’t slowing down yet, folks.
Luke Combs, Entertainer of the Year.
His first of MANY.
