Woman killed, 2 others injured in Lake Balboa/Northridge-area crash

LAKE BALBOA — A woman was killed early Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash today in the Lake Balboa/Northridge area that injured two other people.

Officers were sent to the 17300 block of Saticoy Street about 2:40 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Information was not immediately available on the identity of the woman who died at the scene.

According to CBS 2, a Toyota Camry collided with a Toyota Prius and subsequently slammed into a utility pole, fatally injuring the woman, who was a passenger in the Camry. A man and a woman were taken to a hospital in unknown conditions.

The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
