Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 1,294 new cases and 16 new deaths, Dec. 10

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 1,294 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 1,543,784, as of Friday, Dec. 10. The total number of cases represents 15.4% of Los Angeles County’s population.

Officials reported 16 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since, for a total of 27,304 deaths since tracking began. The total number of deaths represents 0.27% of Los Angeles County’s population.

There were no new hospitalizations reported since Thrusday, keepoing the total count of people hospitalized with coronavirus to 667.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 68% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated and more than 15,668,635 vaccine doses have been administered as of Dec. 10.
