NORTHRIDGE —  On any given day, Cal State Northridge is already a very diverse place.

After all, CSUN ranks fifth nationally in awarding bachelor’s degrees to underrepresented minority students, and second in the U.S. in awarding bachelor’s degrees to Latinos, according to the school.

But pick a day devoted to celebrating that diversity, and it makes for quite a campus vibe — even on a sweltering day.

Enter Carnaval, an event on Thursday, April 7, designed to celebrate the world’s diversity and the university’s array of cultures.

There was music, there was dance, there was food, art, languages… ., organized by the University Student Union.
