Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Waylon Jennings: NASCAR Drivers Share Their Go-To Pump Up Songs

Music

NASCAR is in Music City.

The Cup Series heads to the Nashville Superspeedway for the Ally 400 this weekend, with my man Ryan Blaney looking to secure his first win of the season.

Why is Ryan Blaney my man? Because he’s a big time country music guy. A fan of Tyler Childers, Colter Wall, Cody Jinks, Ryan’s music taste is as good as anybody’s, plus he’s also just a damn good driver.

But as it turns out, most of the driver’s in the NASCAR Cup Series are country music fans. And while that may sound pretty obvious, not every driver in NASCAR is from the South…

But nevertheless, NBC Sports caught up with each driver ahead of the race this week to get their favorite pump up song, and we’re left a pretty impressive playlist.

We got some Sturgill Simpson from Ryan Blaney, a little Whiskey Myers from Chris Buescher, Cole Custer with the George Strait, and a couple Waylon Jennings selections from Brad Keselowski and Erik Jones.

Eric Church, Garth Brooks, Parker McCollum, Morgan Wallen all make the list as does an “anything country” response from reigning Cup Series champion Kyle Larson.

Also, you gotta love Ross Chastain and Daniel Suarez with the nod to their TrackHouse Racing boss… Pitbull.

Here’s the full list:
