Los Angeles County public health officials reported 2,138 more cases of the coronavirus since Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,624,419 as of Wednesday, Dec. 28.

Officials reported 21 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Tuesday for a total of 34,619 deaths since tracking began.

There was one less hospitalization since Tuesday, bringing the total amount of people hospitalized with coronavirus to 1,195.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 77% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated with 21,236,016 doses administered.
