Dolly Parton Announces New Book ‘Behind The Seams: My Life In Rhinestones,’ About Her Most Iconic Fashion Moments

Music

Now this is my kinda book.

Dolly Parton announced her new book Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones will be out everywhere on October 17th.

It will include stories behind some of her most iconic looks from the 1960s to now, as she talks about her lifelong love for fashion and how she developed her own signature style.

Of course, it will include tons of pictures from throughout the decades, including many from her private archive, that I absolutely cannot wait to see.

I think we all know that Dolly is almost as legendary for her sense of style as she is for her music, and everything from the big blonde wigs to rhinestone dresses, have played a massive role in her legendary career and building a brand that is recognized, and beloved, across the globe.

She announced the news in a post on Instagram, saying how proud and excited she is to share it with fans:

“I am happy, proud, and excited to present my brand new book ‘Behind The Seams’ to all of you!

It is my hope that you will enjoy a look at my life in costume and hair, and get to know some of the wonderful people that have helped shape my life and look.

Pre-order ‘Behind the Seams’ now through the link in my story.”

This book is the follow-up to her 2020 bestselling Songteller: My Life in Lyrics, which was full of some really neat and important insight from Dolly herself.

You can check out the book cover here:

And one of the looks I’m most excited to hear about, there will be a feature on her iconic 1978 Playboy bunny suit she wore in her cover shot for the magazine back in the day…

You’re welcome, everyone:
