Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 was announced by Qualcomm at the chipmaker’s annual Snapdragon Summit event on Tuesday. The new chip will power flagship Android smartphones from a range of manufacturers expected to debut in the coming weeks and months — starting with the Xiaomi 14 that will be launched on October 26. OEMs like Asus, Honor, iQoo, Meizu, Nio, Nubia, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Redmi, Red Magic, Sony, Vivo, Xiaomi, and ZTE will launch smartphones that are equipped with the new chip.

The Xiaomi 14 is set to debut on October 26 as the company’s next flagship smartphone and will be the first handset to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. Company president William Lu has already confirmed the launch of the handset in China, but the company has not announced the launch of the Xiaomi 14 in other markets, including India.

On November 7, iQoo has scheduled a launch event where the company is expected to unveil the iQoo 12 in China — this phone is confirmed to be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest flagship chip. Both Vivo and Realme have also confirmed the arrival of smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

Meanwhile, OnePlus and Oppo will also launch phones powered by the new Snapdragon chip. We already know the next handset from the former will be called the OnePlus 12, but the company is yet to announce a launch date. On the other hand, we can expect the Oppo Find X7 Pro to be the firm’s first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip under the hood.

Redmi K70 will debut in China as the company’s first smartphone to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, but there’s no official launch date for the handset at the time of publishing this article. Onthe other hand, ZTE has confirmed that upcoming phones from Nubia and Red Magic will be equipped with the flagship Snapdragon chipset.

Other smartphone manufacturers that have confirmed that their upcoming flagship phones will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip — without revealing the names of the handsets — include Honor, Asus, Sony, and Motorola. We can expect more smartphone makers to announce plans to launch handsets powered by the new Snapdragon chip in the coming days and weeks.
