Los Angeles African American Male Wellness 5K Walk and Run: The African American Male Wellness Agency presents the family-friendly event, 7 a.m. Nov. 11. Veterans Memorial Park – Granada Hills: The opening of a time capsule that was buried in 1972 by members of the Granada Hill-Billies 4-H Club, 11 a.m. Nov. 11. The time capsule was placed at a pocket park memorial, designed and built by the 4-H Club members, to honor Granada Hills residents who had served in the armed forces during the Vietnam War and who died there. Malibu Veterans Day – Legacy of Generations in Service: The city celebrates veterans and currently serving military at its 24th annual event, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Veterans and currently serving military are asked to arrive at 10:30 a.m. to be greeted and escorted to VIP seats by the Pepperdine Ambassadors Council.
