Morgan Wallen Announces Opening Date For New Nashville Bar

Music

Make those travel plans…or make plans to avoid downtown Nashville, whichever you prefer.

Morgan Wallen announced earlier this year that he would be opening his own bar in downtown Nashville, Morgan Wallen’s This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen.

The 6-story lower Broadway venue, situated just between Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row and the Ryman Auditorium, will be a bar, restaurant and live music concept, which is being brought to life by Morgan along with TC Restaurant Group, which currently operates several artist-themed bars on Broadway, including Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar, Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge, and Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa.

Of course the name was inspired by his song “This Bar,” and Morgan said he hopes to bring some of his East Tennessee roots to Music City through the menu and music:

“I sing about finding myself in ‘this bar’ and now it’s coming to life. This venue will hold true to everything I love and is inspired by my fans and the way they have embraced me and my music.

We’re designing a menu around some of my family favorites, so it brings a piece of East Tennessee to Music City. I hope This Bar is a place you’ll want to find yourself in and make memories with your friends and family and celebrate the way country music has brought us all together.”

Well now we know when it will be opening.

Tonight during the second of Morgan’s three shows at Nissan Stadium in Music City, the country superstar announced that This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen would be opening Memorial Day weekend.

The new bar will be approximately 30,000 square feet and feature three live music stages, six bars and an open-air rooftop.

The menu will be curated by Wallen with Chef Tomasz Wosiak, Vice President of Culinary Development for TC Restaurant Group, and feature southern delicacies, in addition to some of Mama Wallen’s own recipes.

Adam Hesler, President at TC Restaurant Group, says:

“Morgan Wallen is one of the most sought after stars in the music industry, and we are thrilled that he has trusted us to deliver a concept that will bring him closer to his fans, hold fast to his roots and enshrine his name among an exclusive group of artists who can claim international stardom with a Lower Broadway destination fans all over the world seek out.”

Of course the bar also comes on the heels of Morgan’s highly-publicized arrest for allegedly throwing a chair off the rooftop of another downtown Nashville bar, Chief’s, owned by his friend Eric Church.

Gotta hope that Church isn’t looking for a little revenge…and that the chairs are bolted down in Morgan’s place.
