Boston Blue has revealed when Bridget Moynahan will return as Erin Reagan. The Blue Bloods spinoff is wrapping up its first season in May, and Moynahan will come back before the season finale.
Moynahan returns to Boston Blue in Season 1 Episode 17, “L’dor Vador.” It airs on Friday, May 1, at 10/9c, on CBS. “L’dor Vador” is a Hebrew phrase that translates to from generation to generation.
Here’s the logline for the episode: “When a captured serial killer hints at the whereabouts of a missing child, Danny teams up with a familiar ally in a tense race against time. Meanwhile, health scares and long‑kept family secrets surface, forcing members of the team to confront personal truths.”

This will be Moynahan’s second appearance in the spinoff, but her third time working on the show. After guest starring in the series premiere, “Faith and Family,” she directed Season 1 Episode 8, “In the Name of the Father, And of the Son,” when Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) and Lena Silver’s (Sonequa Martin-Green) investigation into a robbery went wrong and quickly turned personal, pushing Lena to devise a bold plan that tests Mae’s (Gloria Reuben) boundaries.
There aren’t any photos available of Moynahan’s return just yet, but the photos CBS has shared are full of drama. Danny and Lena are posted what looks like a welcome center or bus stop.
Danny passes the time with Sudoku, while Lena has a romance novel. When the danger begins, they end up in the souvenir shop. Are Danny and Lena trapped inside the store?

Yellowstone‘s Jefferson White and Tosin Morohunfola guest star in Episode 16 on Friday, April 24. Moynahan’s episode airs on May 1. There will be new episodes weekly until the Boston Blue Season 1 finale airing on Friday, May 22. Len Cariou reprised his role as Henry Reagan in Episode 13.
