3.4-magnitude earthquake rattles Cabazon – NBC Los Angeles

A 3.4-magnitude earthquake rattled the Cabazon area on Sunday, the United States Geological Survey reported.

The earthquake was recorded at 8:44 a.m. at a depth of nearly 8 miles, according to the agency. Communities in the low desert, including Palm Springs, Thousand Palms and Cathedral City, reported feeling the temblor.

Residents in Indio, where Stagecoach Festival is being held, also reported feeling the earthquake.

No injuries or structural damage were reported.
