Neighbors gathered to observe a bear that was in a tree on a private property in Altadena on Sunday.
The property owner said the animal had been in her tree since 6 a.m.
“We heard about it, so we came down here because we couldn’t believe that it was actually somebody’s yard,” neighbor Sergio Sanchez told NBC Los Angeles.
NBCLA reached out to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife about the status of the bear but has not received a response.
