Arrests made in South LA sex trafficking raid – NBC Los Angeles

California

The FBI and the Los Angeles Police Department are conducting an undercover operation targeting sex trafficking Wednesday morning at the Figueroa Corridor in South Los Angeles.

According to federal officials, the raid is connected to arrests in August 2025 involving South LA gang members.

FBI agents and other law enforcement officers were seen outside a residential area.

Mukeshkumar Ahir, the on-site manager of the Stadium Inn & Spas who lives in a front unit, was arrested Wednesday morning.

Ahir was arrested on suspicion of financially benefitting from sex trafficking with the Hoover Gang, a Los Angeles criminal organization. Some of the victims were minors as young as 14 years old, according to federal officials.

The owners of the Stadium Inn & Spas were also arrested at their residences.

According to an investigator at the scene, officials found a large amount of cash tied to those trafficking activities.

U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli is expected to provide more details on the investigation at a 9:30 a.m. news conference.
