A man was arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of his wife in Moreno Valley, authorities said Wednesday.

Deputies responded to a report about an unresponsive woman in the 21000 block of Box Springs Road a little after 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

There, deputies say they found 27-year-old Moreno Valley resident Tianah Govan with “injuries consistent with trauma.” She died at the scene, the RSO said.

Her husband, 26-year-old Kendrick Govan, also from Moreno Valley, was detained at the scene, and investigators say they later identified him as the suspect. He was arrested and booked for murder, according to the office.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact RSO Central Homicide Unit Master Investigator Hernandez at 951-955-2777 or Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station Investigator Fazio at 951-486-6700.
