Two home break-ins reported in the San Fernando Valley – NBC Los Angeles

California

Police are searching for a group of suspects in two home break-ins in the San Fernando Valley overnight.

In Woodland Hills, police are looking for three people who broke into a home late Sunday night.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to reports of a burglary in progress at the 5800 block of Penfield Avenue just before midnight.

Three suspects in dark colored clothing had cut the flood lights that led to the back of the home and entered the residence after smashing the window, LAPD said.

Although the homeowners were not present at the time, they saw the incident through their surveillance cameras and called police.

It was not immediately clear what was taken, but no injuries were reported.

In Porter Ranch, police responded to the 11000 block of Wood Ranch Road shortly before 3:30 a.m. after they say they saw three people attempting to break into their home.

In this incident, the homeowners said one person was home at the time. However, the suspects did not make it inside the home and had left before police arrived.

No injuries were reported.
