Calling in some heavy hitters.
After years of being one of the most underrated artists in the mainstream, the last two years have been nothing short of a whirlwind for Riley Green. Though you can attribute some of that to Ella Langley, thanks to the success of their monster collaborations, “you look like you love me” and “Don’t Mind If I Do,” the Alabama native has launched himself into superstardom pretty handily on his own.
Even ignoring “you look like you love me’s” massive success, Green has now scored back-to-back #1 singles on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart with the aforementioned “Don’t Mind If I Do” and his steamy, viral track, “Worst Way.” In case you were wondering just how rare that feat is, “Worst Way” became just the 39th song in the chart’s history (and the second in 13 years) to go #1 solely written by the artist who recorded the track. With “Don’t Mind If I Do” also going #1 just six months later, Green became the first artist since Taylor Swift to score back-to-back solo-written #1 hits on the chart.
At the end of May, the Alabama native would drop “Think As You Drunk,” which included a sample of Toby Keith’s 2005 hit, “As Good As I Once Was.” With the release of the new single, he’d also announce his fourth studio album, That’s Just Me, which releases Friday, September 18th.
Upon the announcement, the only tracks confirmed were released songs such as “My Way,” the aforementioned “Think As You Drunk” and last week’s “Go Again” with Hannah McFarland. And then earlier this month, the full tracklist was leaked online, however his PR team quickly tried to stop the spread, claiming that it was not an accurate tracklist.
With that being said, Riley has been slowly rolling out the tracklist every few days via his Instagram story, along with snippets of different unreleased songs, and so far it seems to line up perfectly with the leaked tracklist that was originally published:
Just confirmed last night, Green will be calling upon none other than Brooks & Dunn for the 13th track, “Pave All Them Dirt Roads,” which will mark their first new feature since their appearance on Cody Johnson’s “Long Live Country Music” back in 2023. Additionally, the red-hot traditionalist, Jake Worthington, will appear on “Well Well Whiskey,” which was confirmed last week.
As for Brooks & Dunn’s feature on “Pave All Them Dirt Roads,” the snippet confirms that it will feature the legendary duo appearing to sing lines from their smash hit, “Red Dirt Road,” on the track. Alabama’s Randy Owen will also appear on the album.
Green will also be dropping a plethora of new songs teased on social media over the past few months, including the likes of “Imagine That” and “P.O.S.,” which caused quite a stir online when he teased it immediately after Megan Moroney released her third studio album, Cloud 9, given the fact that the two have been at the center of dating rumors over the years and all but confirmed “Who Hurt You?” was about him recently.
Finally, previously released tracks like “Bartender In Destin,” which was released acoustically on Green’s 2025 Midtown Sessions EP, will appear on the record and finally get a fully-produced version.
That’s Just Me is out everywhere on Friday, September 18th.
