CD Projekt Red has announced the official release window for The Witcher 4. Since revealing the game at the end of 2024 with an extensive first trailer, CDPR has continued to provide routine updates on the next installment in its beloved RPG series. Despite talking about the project openly, the developer had yet to provide a timeline for when The Witcher 4 would arrive. Now, that has finally changed, as news on the game’s release has been shared for the first time.
In a new video posted to social media today, CD Projekt Red co-CEO Michał Nowakowski provided an update about the future of The Witcher franchise as a whole. Regarding The Witcher 4 specifically, Nowakowski said that the studio is currently targeting a release for the game in 2028. A more well-defined date, month, or quarter within this year wasn’t provided, but this is the first instance in which The Witcher 4 has been given even a broad launch window.
