Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, died Sunday at age 27, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
Gerber died at a rehabilitation facility, according to the Medical Examiner report.
An autopsy had not yet been completed, and a cause of death was not immediately available.
A representative for Crawford, Rande Gerber and Kaia Gerber told NBC Los Angeles that the family was asking for privacy during what it described as a difficult and painful time.
