The series began in 2002 with ‘Resident Evil’ starring Milla Jovovich and went on to spawn five sequels. A reboot called ‘Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City‘ was released in 2021, followed by a Netflix TV series in 2022.
Now, the franchise is rebooting once again with ‘Weapons‘ director Zach Cregger‘s ‘Resident Evil‘, which opens in theaters on September 18th.
