Jeopardy! fans couldn’t resist teasing Ken Jennings after he shared a photo of a Halloween costume based upon on himself.
“Just in time for spooky season!” the Instagram post was captioned on October 3. The photo featured a jokey Halloween costume of Ken Jennings dressed in his Jeopardy! attire.
It included a suit and tie, and claimed on the packaging that it also came with “impeccable humor, fire music taste, and endless wit.” However, the description went on to say that only the suit and tie were included. The bottom of the costume description said that it was an adult-sized costume and that “one size fits most.”
Of course, Jennings had to hop in on the fun and leave a witty comment. “This should be one of the unlicensed costumes-in-a-bag that says, like, BLOND QUIZ GUY,” he wrote.
Some fans pointed out that the costume can’t be classified as that as Jennings’ hair color has somewhat changed over the years. “Ken, we love you, but I don’t think you qualify ‘blond’ anymore,” one fan said.
“Blond quiz guy…Ralph Fiennes?” another fan asked. Others said that it should say he “makes up anecdotes” since the host admitted he did that during his 74-game run.
“And then next year I’ll find the BLOND QUIZ GUY costume in the bins at Goodwill,” another joked.
“That impeccable wit. Ur so funny,” a fan commented with laughing emojis.
Some game show fans joked that the costume should come with a gardening tool, referring to Jennings’ viral “What is a hoe?” moment. “Paired accessory rake not included,” one said.
One fan said it was literally a “Ken doll.” Others said that it “includes savage tweets.”
“Think it needs to come with different ties,” a fan suggested.
“Literally told my friends my costume options included Alex [Trebek] or Ken… is this a sign??!” a fan asked.
“Does it last for 75 episodes and come with his $2.52 million in winnings?” another wondered.
