That’s how you do it.
Carly Pearce released her fifth studio album Honest Woman on August 28th, It’s truly a work of art and one of her best yet. When you use a title like that for a record, you better be really ready to bare your heart and soul, and Carly has never been afraid to share the truth.
If you haven’t checked it out yet, you really need to…
She’s been out on the road touring and promoting it, and tonight, she had the honors of performing the national anthem before Game 3 of the 2026 MLB World Series at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, where the Tampa Bay Rays took on the Milwaukee Brewers.
Brewers crushed them to take a 3-0 stranglehold on what could be their first ever World Series title.
Of course, we all know that it’s not an easy song to sing, and honestly, it’s a risky career move because more often than not, people aren’t so quick to embrace anyone’s national anthem performance, but Carly was fabulous and she sounded incredible:
Few artists have crossed over into “all-time great” territory, honestly only Whitney Houston and Chris Stapleton come to mind when you think of the best of the best… and they’re two of the greatest vocalists the world has ever seen.
It’s the kind of thing that can make or break a career, honestly, and fans seemed overwhelmingly impressed with Carly’s rendition, sharing tons of positive comments about how great she was.
Country music represented once again on the national stage, and it’s a beautiful thing:
“Our Kentucky girl crushing it! Dolly would be proud.”
“Carly Pearce brought the perfect touch to the World Series stage. What a moment!”
“Amazing.”
“Love her and this rendition!!!! She is beautiful inside and out!!”
“SO GOOD.”
“She was absolutely amazing!”
“Simple yet beautiful.”
“Absolutely crushed it! Amazing!”
“Makes me proud to be an American frfr.”
“A fantastic job, Carly!”
“Beautiful rendition.”
“She’s so good.”
“ABSOLUTE PERFECTION.”
“You got beautiful voice Carly.”

“Great Job Carly, you absolutely nailed that national anthem!”
“Country voices are the best for national anthem.”
Amen to that… Carly is such a talented singer, and it’s great to see the whole country getting to see that and embracing her talent.
It was just revealed that Jay-Z is headlining the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show. With how popular country music is right now, it should have definitely been a country artist… it’s been way too long. But if not, they absolutely need to have a country artist do the The Star-Spangled Banner.
