Hundreds of people marched and attended a rally in support of Israel in West Los Angeles on Sunday as Israel continued to recover from last weekend’s attacks by Hamas and as Israeli forces positioned themselves along Gaza’s border as part of a campaign by Israel to dismantle the terrorist group.
CBS Los Angeles reported Gov. Gavin Newsom send a message of solidarity via video to those assembled in West Los Angeles. They included Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis and Rabbi Marvin Hier, CEO of the Simon Wiesenthal Center.
Sunday’s rally was preceded by local rallies last week supporting Israel and victims of the Hamas attack as well as a pro-Palestinian demonstration on Saturday.
