Burlington to hold grand opening for Granada Hills store

California

Discount retailer Burlington Stores is opening a new location Friday, March 18 in Granada Hills, bringing the company’s California total to 90 stores.

The 25,000-square-foot store at 10801 Zelzah Ave. will employ about 65 workers. The discount retailer sells a variety of men’s and women’s wear and accessories, children’s clothing, shoes, home decor items, toys and pet products.

Burlington offers a layaway program that allows customers to put a deposit down and come back later to pay the outstanding balance and retrieve the merchandise.

The first 100 customers at Friday’s grand opening will get a $5 coupon to be used toward purchases, and on Saturday, March 19, shoppers will get a free Burlington umbrella while supplies last, with no purchase necessary.

Additional Burlington stores will open this spring in Pico Rivera, San Dimas, Mira Mesa and Menifee, although opening dates have not been revealed.

“California continues to be a valuable state for Burlington, presenting many great growth opportunities,” the company said, adding that it strives to create jobs and provide a “value-focused” shopping experience.

At the end of fiscal 2021, Burlington operated 840 stores in 45 states and Puerto Rico.
