  • Tom Selleck will host, narrate, and executive produce a new documentary series on History Channel.
  • The 10-episode series is called Crime and Justice With Tom Selleck.
  • Selleck joins other stars like Kevin Bacon, Ted Danson, Dolph Lundgren, and Robin Roberts, who are also launching new documentary projects on the History Channel.

Tom Selleck is returning to crime TV — this time, on the History Channel. This marks the actor’s first TV new show since Blue Bloods ended in December 2024.

Selleck will host, narrate, and executive produce an upcoming History Channel documentary called Crime and Justice With Tom Selleck, a perfect fit for the Blue Bloods alum. Crime and Justice examines the true stories behind some of the most consequential crimes and investigations in American history over its 10 episodes.

The show comes from A+E Factual Studios for History Channel. A+E Global Media announced the series, among a list of equally star-studded others, during its 2026 virtual upfront presentation to advertisers on Wednesday, March 4.

Selleck is joined by Kevin Bacon, Ted Danson, Dolph Lundgren, and Robin Roberts as famous names bringing new documentaries to History this year. Here’s what’s to come from them:

  • History’s Strange Fortunes with Kevin Bacon (w.t.): [Series Greenlight] Hosted and executive produced by the acclaimed actor, the series explores some of the most unbelievable, yet true financial tales ever recorded.
  • Extraordinary Origins with Ted Danson (w.t.): [Series Greenlight] Hosted and executive produced by the award-winning actor, the series examines the stories behind some of history’s most significant innovations, inventions, and discoveries that helped shape the modern world.
  • History’s Greatest Machines with Dolph Lundgren: [Series Greenlight] Executive produced, hosted, and narrated by the internationally acclaimed action icon, who also has an academic background in chemical engineering, the series takes viewers on a thrilling journey through the gears, guts, and genius behind the machines that reshaped our world.
  • 102 Minutes Inside the Towers: [Documentary Greenlight] A new two-hour documentary, executive produced by Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts, marking the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the special offers a deeply immersive and unique perspective through firsthand accounts from those who were inside the Twin Towers.

Premiere dates will be announced at a later time.

Selleck starred as NYPD Police Commissioner Frank Reagan for 14 seasons of Blue Bloods. The show ended in December 2024, and Selleck was vocally unhappy about CBS’s decision. The Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) spinoff, Boston Blue, welcomed Blue Bloods alums throughout Season 1. Star Sonequa Martin-Green has said that she’s hopeful Selleck will appear on the spinoff one day.
