Empyrean series fans still have a long time to wait until book four: it doesn’t have a title or release date yet. But in the meantime, there are a couple of related new releases to tide them over. Threshing Day, a collection of short stories set in the same world, comes out September 29, 2026. And now, the graphic novel adaptation of Fourth Wing is also available for preorder. It releases April 6, 2027.
Fourth Wing, The Graphic Novel: Volume One is adapted by Rebecca Yarros and illustrated by Anabel Rossi. It covers the first half of Fourth Wing. There have been six graphic novels greenlit so far for the series; two for each volume. The cover of the graphic novel has not been released yet, but you can browse Anabel Rossi’s Instagram to get a sense of her art style.
Another Empyrean project in the works is a TV adaptation: it’s been in development since 2023, but the series has recently found a home with Prime Video. Meredith Averill is the showrunner and Michael B. Jordan is the executive producer.
