Several catfish spotted on Baldwin Park road – NBC Los Angeles

California

An unusual sight along a busy Baldwin Park road created a puzzling traffic hazard.

Thirty-one catfish making their way across the roadway stopped drivers in their tracks as the California Highway Patrol responded to the odd occurrence.  CHP officers moved all the fish to the right shoulder and were helped by Animal Control.

Sadly, two of the fish did not survive. The remaining 29 catfish were safely relocated, according to CHP.

Law enforcement did not say how the catfish ended up on the road, nor did they specify which exact street the incident occurred on.

CHP took this bizarre encounter as opportunity to remind the public to slow down and move over safely if they encounter something strange while driving.
