Repairs are complete on Dolly Parton’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
The star at 6712 Hollywood Boulevard was blocked off earlier this week for repairs. Scratches were seen on the stars, which became a gathering spot for fans mourning the “Queen of Country Music” after her death at age 80 was anounced Aug. 25.
Fans gathered at the star in the hours that followed to join people around the world remembered a global music star and actor with an extraordinary philanthropic legacy.
Scheduled repairs on the star began Tuesday. The repair work by the Hollywood Historic Trust, which maintains and repairs Walk of Fame stars, was set up late last week.
“Dolly Parton’s star is now restored for all to see,” the Hollywood Historic Trust said Friday in an Instagram post.
Walk of Fame producer Martinez said a fan reported on social media that the star was vandalized with scratches. It was not immediately clear when the scratches appeared on the star.
NBCLA has reached out to law enforcement to determine whether there is an investigation into the reported vandalism.

Parton’s star was unveiled in a dual ceremony with actor Sylvester Stallone, who co-starred with Parton in the movie “Rhinestone.” The 1985 musical comedy revolved around a bet that Parton’s character can turn a New York cab driver played by Stallone into a country music star.
One of the notes left at the Walk of Fame star read, “Thank you for loving me and accepting me before I knew how to love myself.”
Nail polish, Duncan Hines Dolly Parton cornbread mix, pink sunglasses and other items also were left at the star.
Parton earned nearly every major honor a musician could aspire to during her legendary career as singer-songwriter, but her influence spread well beyond country music and into the world of Hollywood films.
Parton also was familiar to TV audiences with roles in variety specials and a long list of TV holiday films. She produced projects through her Sandollar Productions company.
Parton earned 11 Grammy Awards, a Country Music Hall of Fame induction and a Kennedy Center Honor.
