A person was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in South Los Angeles on Friday, police said.
The incident was reported on Broadway in the Florence neighborhood of South LA just before 10 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police say they are looking for a black vehicle, possibly a sedan, with damage in the front.
Officials did not provide details about the deceased individual but a witness described the victim as a man on an electric scooter.
Broadway was closed in both directions between 85th Place and 83rd Street.
The investigation is ongoing.
