At least one person was injured in an apartment fire in East Hollywood early Thursday.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, over 150 firefighters responded to the scene at around 4:30 a.m. at the 500 block of North Kingsley Drive.
The fire began in the basement of a three-story apartment building and started going into the walls and other floors, the LAFD said.
The fire eventually reached the roof, prompting evacuations of the first floor. Firefighters also checked the second and third floors of the building.
At least one person was transported with minor to moderate injuries, LAFD said.
The Los Angeles Police Department was also at the scene to assist the LAFD as well as the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to assist with transporting occupants.
It was not clear what started the fire.
